Families First Home Visit Program

Families First is Tennessee’s program to help low income people with children.  The Tennessee Department of Human Services (DHS) along with the Tennessee Department of Health (DOH) contracts with the Metro Public Health Department for MPHD to provide home visits for all Davidson County Families First participants that have been terminated from the program.  The goal of the program is to insure that all families that have been terminated from program services are healthy and that there are no signs of child abuse or neglect.  If there are any signs of poor health, abuse, or neglect, the family will be referred back to DHS for follow-up and services.
