General Sanitation
The General Sanitation program is responsible for enforcing the health and
sanitation codes in Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County.
Among these are:
- Improper storage and disposal of garbage and trash
- Enforcing rodent and pest control regulations
- Interior and exterior plumbing problems involving human contact with sewage
The program also deals with:
- Excessive vegetation
- Littered vacant lots
- Lead-based paint surveys
- Illegal dumping
- Trailer court and campground inspections
The program is complaint-driven.
Complaints are assigned to an inspector who will conduct an investigation within
24 hours of receiving the complaint.Please call 340-5644 if you need the services of this program.
