Restaurant Food Safety Award Winners
The Metropolitan Health Department of Nashville and Davidson County, in partnership with the Food Protection Program Advisory Committee, developed this award. Its intent is to recognize and reward those food service establishments, which consistently set, achieve, and maintain a higher standard regarding food safety awareness, training, and practices. To be eligible, an establishment must average a score of 85 or above on consecutive regular inspections and not have been debited for temperature, hygienic practices, nor sanitization of food contact equipment violations. Also the establishment must meet one (1) of the following three (3) criteria. The establishment must train all new and current employees of proper food handling practices and then have the management team certified in food safety. Next, the establishment must have self-inspections conducted by an individual who has completed our "Stay Focused Program." Lastly, health department records indicate that this establishment has not been debited for any of the 13 criteria violations on the two consecutive regular inspections. 2005 Food Safety Award Winners 2004 Food Safety Award Winners 2003 Food Safety Award Winners
