Danielle Mezera Presentation
- What type of group do you want to be active or
passive?
- Ideas from TAPPP Council Members about group type
- Active can be difficult given activities already
taking place
- May be easier and more useful to connect with
existing organizations
- Do inventory of all existing programs and services
- Identify gaps
- Expert needed to keep council updated on research
findings, best practices, and etc
- Would there be a place for the council to be active
without stepping on other toes
- Need an understanding of current landscape to see
what our role should be
- Council should be an information resource and
sharing entity
- Council members could be connectors between council
and other existing groups such as Alignment Nashville

Discussion on National Day to Prevent teen Pregnancy (May 2nd)
- Contact D’Yuanna Allen to get update on her meeting
with Metro parks and Metro Public Libraries
- Kayce Matthews will contact Looby center (dependent
upon information D’Yuanna has)

Announcements
- Kayce announced the Planned Parenthood’s Sex and Media
Workshop entitled: What You See Is What You Get: Sexuality and the Media;
the workshop will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 from 8:30 a.m.- 3:30
p.m. at Tennessee State University’s Avon Williams Campus.
