The Metropolitan Board of Health approved the following public comment
process at the February 12, 2008 Board meeting regarding the Health Department’s
proposed mosquito control policy.
February 13 – March 18, 2008 – The Metro Public Health Department will accept
written comment from the public regarding the proposed mosquito control policy.
March 11, 2008 – A public hearing will be held at the March 11, 2008 Board of
Health meeting. The purpose of this hearing is to listen to the public’s
comments regarding the Health Department’s proposed mosquito control policy.
Anyone testifying at this hearing is requested (but not required) to furnish a
written copy of their oral comments to the Chairman of the Board after
completing their testimony.
March 28, 2008 – The Metro Public Health Department will compile written
comments received and submit comments, responses, and a final plan to the Board
of Health by 4:30 p.m., March 28, 2008.
April 8, 2008 – The Board of Health will vote on whether or not to approve the
proposed mosquito control plan at its April 8 meeting.
